BinaryX wrapped up our first-ever Online Hackathon Demo Day on the 4th of October with a demonstration of our winning projects and a prize giving ceremony for both the projects and our players. Our team was beyond excited to host a platform where developers, blockchain enthusiasts, and creative minds from across the globe could meet to showcase their innovations in GameFi. Here are some highlights from the day:
Demo Day
Hosted by Julio, Head of Investments at BinaryX. the Demo Day event successfully showcased the top 5 most innovative projects amongst ther 40 BUIDLs that were submitted. The final decision for the winners was made collectively with the support and expertise of professionals both internal and external. The event was streamed across various platforms, including Youtube, Twitter, and Binance Live, reaching a wide audience of blockchain and gaming enthusiasts.

Demo Day Winners Showcase Video
Community Choice — ARK: MetaSurvival
ARK: MetaSurvival was the community favorite, winning a Community Choice Award. The project was notably voted for by the community on Twitter, reflecting its popularity and anticipation among the audience.
Most Innovative Project — Trade Or Bust
Trade Or Bust was crowned as the Most Innovative Project, offering an on-chain strategy game where players navigate a volatile market, accumulate assets, and engage in trades, aiming to outlast market challenges and emerge victorious. The project was hailed for its fully on-chain economic strategy, dynamic and unpredictable market, and diverse gameplay elements.
Best Project 3rd Place & Community Choice — Crypto Mayhem
Crypto Mayhem not only clinched the 3rd place but also won the heart of the community, bagging a Community Choice Award. The game, which merges Grand Economic Strategy with a Top-Down Shooter, was celebrated for its unique gaming ecosystem, player coexistence, and interconnected gameplay.
Best Project 2nd Place — 3x3 Freestyle
3x3 Freestyle secured the 2nd place with its basketball game that harmoniously merges street to professional play, integrating blockchain for real income opportunities and emphasizing player-versus-player mechanics for sustained engagement. The game was lauded for promoting culture, decentralization, and its mature eSports Mechanism.
Best Project 1st Place — Lumiterra
Finally, Lumiterra emerged victorious as the 1st Place Winner, impressing the judges with its multiplayer survival game that seamlessly blends battle, farming, and crafting in a vast world. The game, enriched by innovative blockchain technologies and economic mechanisms, stood out for its engaging gameplay, innovative economic model, and advanced blockchain integration.
